For more than 50 years the Little City Foundation of Illinois has successfully created hope, changed lives and challenged the limits placed on children and adults with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. Charities are always looking for donations to keep their great work alive. Imagine Little City’s happiness when they opened an envelope to see a donation from the city of Chicago’s newest basketball hero Michael Jordan! Jordan was in the middle of his fifth season with the Chicago Bulls when he wrote this check payable to “Little City” on “April 21, 1989” for the amount of “$50.00.” The entire check is made out in Jordan’s hand in blue ink and is signed “Michael Jordan.” This is a great Jordan signed item, one which shows his humanitarian side and signed during the height of Jordan’s career. The check has been authenticated by PSA/DNA, graded MINT 9, and is encased in their protective holder.
