After being named the AL Comeback Player of the Year, Salmon carried the Angels through the playoffs and into the World Series. The rejuvenated Salmon smashed two home runs in Game 2 against the Giants and hit a smooth .346 as the Angels won their first World championship. Salmon’s World Series Rawlings 288 RJ bat shows heavy use and has been cracked. Many bat rack streaks and ball marks and stitch impressions can be seen on the barrel. Salmon’s number on the knob has been inked over. He has signed the bat on the barrel and proudly added “2002 G. Used W.S. Champs!!”.
