Striking black and gold engraved bat commemorating the 1956 New York Yankees. Hillerich & Bradsby produced these special limited edition bats every year from 1934 to 1998 and presented them to the players, coaches, team executives and baseball dignitaries in honor of that year’s World Series Champions. Manager Casey Stengel’s facsimile signature is featured the largest and is surrounded by the other members of that championship team including Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, Phil Rizzuto, Billy Martin, Hank Bauer, Moose Skowron, Joe Collins, Bobby Richardson, Gil McDougald, Bob Turley, Billy Hunter, Erv Noren, Elston Howard, Bill Dickey, Jerry Coleman Ralph Terry, Bob Cerv and of course Don Larsen, who pitched the first and only World Series perfect game in Game 5. The gorgeous black bat show some scuffing and storage marks but displays exceedingly well and the gold ink signatures pop off the gloss black bat.
