Beginning in 1941 the two teams have met in the World Series a remarkable 11 times and four of those times it came down to a do-or-die 7th game. The Yankees are the undisputed winner of the series so far with eight wins but the hard-fought fall classics are baseball legend. This special limited edition Louisville Slugger has the results of the 11 series’ engraved on the barrel and the bat has been signed by 25 members of both these storied franchises: Duke Snider (HoF), Phil Rizzuto (HoF), Yogi Berra (HoF), Don Drysdale (HoF), Tom Lasorda (HoF), Don Sutton (HoF), Johnny Mize (HoF), Catfish Hunter (HoF), Allie Reynolds, Sparky Lyle, Lou Pinella, Graig Nettles, Maury Wills, Ed Lopat, Bucky Dent, Moose Skowron, Clem Labine, Tommy John, Don Larsen, Hank Bauer, Johnny Podres, Al Downing, Gene Woodling, Tommy Henrich and Chris Chambliss. Bat is in great condition with all of the signatures in blue Sharpie with the exception of Nettles who was signed in a thin blue marker. A great display piece that is covered with a virtual All-Star team of 40 year’s worth of World Series excellence. Authenticated by PSA/DNA.
