2019 Winter Auction Closing March 2

Presented here is a yellow Pittsburgh Pirates flag likely flown at Forbes Field, the home of the Pirates from 1909 to 1970. Forbes was built in the heart of the University of Pittsburgh campus by the visionary owner of the Pirates, Barney Dreyfuss, as one of the country’s first concrete and steel ballparks. It measures approximately 55 x 85 inches at its widest dimensions. “PIRATES” is sewn on the flag in slightly weather-faded black lettering. This flag is a terrific memento from one of America’s most historic ballparks!
