The St. Louis Cardinals entered Game 6 of the 1926 World Series needing a win to stay alive against the New York Yankees. The National Leaguers jumped out of the gates early at Yankee Stadium, scoring three runs in the top of the first in an eventual 10-2 victory over the Yankees. Pete Alexander started and pitched a complete game for the Cardinals, with Les Bell driving in four and Rogers Hornsby plating three for the rampant Cardinals. Game 7, also at Yankee Stadium, saw Jesse Haines and “Old Pete” come back to shutter the Yankees offense in a 3-2 win, giving St. Louis their first ever World Series title. Offered here is a ticket stub to Game 6 of the 1926 World Series. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (20998750).
