The New York Giants defeated the New York Yankees in the 1922 World Series in five games. Game 3 was declared a 3-3 draw due to darkness, the last time in World Series history a game finished without a winner. This offered ticket is from Game 4, a 4-3 win at Polo Grounds by the “visiting” Giants. At the time, the Yankees called Polo Grounds their home due to a cohabitation agreement with the Giants, who owned the ballpark. Hugh McQuillan pitched a complete game for the Giants, outdueling Carl Mays of the Yankees to earn the victory for the Senior Circuit club. Dave Bancroft collected two RBI for the Giants, while Irish Meusel and Ross Youngs plated the other two runs. This offered ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21062699).
