This one-of-a-kind booklet constitutes a prized collectible of Francis Joseph "Lefty" O'Doul (1897-1969). As noted in the booklet's text, O'Doul was a skilled hitter who recorded a career-best .398 batting average in 1929. He retired from the major leagues in 1934, and then compiled a second, extremely successful body of work as a manager in the Pacific Coast League. The offered booklet incorporates a strong and precise, black ink cut signature, as well as a stylized "Career .349" die-cut revealing game used jersey material. An outstanding "One of One" tribute piece, showing pack-fresh display quality.
Panini's "National Treasure" booklets stand among the hobby's most cherished autograph/memorabilia cards. The items consist of two panels separated by a decorative binding that allows the assembly to be once-folded to standard, single-card size. A statement on the booklet's back asserts Panini's guarantee of genuineness for the vintage components, and serves as the item's COA.
