Widely considered the most difficult and rare cabinet cards of the early 20th Century, the W600 Sporting Life cabinets were issued over a 10-year period and include almost all the great players of the day. This Mordecai Brown offering contains staining and paper loss, and has been significantly trimmed along the top and bottom borders. The trimmed area along the bottom completely eliminates the embossed Sporting Life ad which would appear below the photo. There is a 2.5 inch wide piece of brown paper adhered to the back. Sporting Life cabinets are extremely rare and are in demand regardless of condition, and this Brown is one of only three examples graded by PSA! PSA Graded AUTHENTIC Altered.
