The W554 cards have many of the same poses as the more known R316 Kashin set, but while Kashin’s are numerous in quantity (101), only 18 known subjects appear in the W554 set. The sepia toned cards measure approximately 5 x 7 inches, have a normal-to-thin cardboard stock, and have the player and team info along a very thin border along the bottom. This Gehrig example is extremely rare (only 25 total W554s have been graded by PSA), and contains a large vertical crease, appearing to be held together with tape on the otherwise clean reverse. PSA Graded AUTHENTIC.
