Reggie Smith’s rookie campaign in 1967 was the stuff dreams are made of. The Red Sox outfielder appeared in almost every game of the 1967 season and was a large factor in Boston’s pennant drive. Smith hit a pair of home runs in the World Series against St. Louis, then returned the next year to lead the league in doubles. Used during the 1967 and 1968 seasons, Smith’s Louisville Slugger W215 model bat shows outstanding use with a handle crack. Slight checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact is present on the back barrel and there are many ball marks on the left, right and back barrel. A light coat of pine tar is n the handle and the model number “W215” is stamped into the knob. Smith’s number “7” hand written on the knob in black marker completes this great gamer. The bat comes with a LOA (1B15189) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8.
