The W517s were issued in strips of two cards, large size (3” x 4”) strip cards and include photos of the great players of that golden era, with a full 60% of the 54 card set being HOFers. The W517s include various color tints, but all examples in this lot are sepia toned. All cards have been graded by PSA and are indicated as being HAND CUT. Includes: EX 5 - #51 Earl Averill; PSA VG-EX+ 4.5 - #10, Chuck Klein; VG-EX 4 - #1 Earl Combs, #16 Frankie Frisch (MK), #21 Jimmie Foxx, #28 Heine Manush, #38 Rogers Hornsby and #46 Joe Sewell; GOOD 2 - #12 Travis Jackson; AUTHENTIC - #27 Tony Lazzeri and #36 Dazzy Vance. A large group of these HOFers, comprising 20% of the entire set.
