The Hall of Fame centerfielder Larry Doby debuted for the Cleveland Indians in 1947, becoming the first African-American player in the American League upon making his debut in a road contest against the Chicago White Sox on July 5th. The next season, Doby would lead the Indians to the World Series title before embarking on a streak of seven straight years with an All-Star appearance starting in 1949. Doby led the American League in homers twice and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1998.

This offered Cleveland Indians pennant features a portrait of Doby and the text “I’m For Larry Doby” printed in white lettering next to his portrait. Also printed on the dark red pennant is “Cleveland Indians” in white letters. The border of this pennant is yellow. This pennant is in good condition and measures 28 x 11 inches at its widest dimensions.
