Thomas Jefferson, the Founding Father and third President of the United States, has signed this partial document granting the brig Orlando passage out of Baltimore. This document is dated to March 14th, 1801, a scant 10 days into Jefferson’s presidency. Jefferson has signed this document in black dip pen, while the Acting Secretary of State Levi Lincoln Sr. has also signed the document in the same fashion. This document is presented alongside an image of Jefferson in a 27 x 16-inch framed display. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (Z62022).
