Now retired boxing champ Oscar De La Hoya, nicknamed “The Golden Boy,” is of Mexican descent. The former ring standout won 10 world titles in six different weight classes over his 17-year pro career and earned a gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain. De La Hoya signed with blue Sharpie this single 16-ounce Defender USA white boxing glove with “MEXICO” printed across the wrist and the Mexico national crest and colors (green, white and red) across the back of the glove.
