In 1994, Kirby Puckett was the AL RBI leader and looked like there were many more great seasons ahead of him. His .317 and 20 homers had him on the path to Cooperstown, but an eye ailment would end his career before the 1996 season began. This bat dates to Puckett’s 1994 season when he was the AL’s most dangerous batter. The Louisville Slugger C243 model bat is un-cracked and displays outstanding use. The barrel is covered with ball marks with stitch impressions along with ink transfers and red and blue bat rack paint streaks. A moderate coat of pine tar is located on the center brand and the upper handle. Puckett’s number “34” is hand written on the rare factory double knob. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14973) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5.
