Between 1934 and 1936, the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals were two of the top teams in all of baseball. The Yankees still boasted the talents of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, winning the American League in 1936, while the Cardinals had the famed “Gashouse Gang” of 1934 that won the World Series. This offered baseball has been signed by 23 members of both the Yankees and Cardinals between 1934 and 1936.

Hall of Famer Babe Ruth signed his distinctive signature on the sweet spot in black fountain pen. The east panel has the signatures of Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig and Ray Blades, while the west panel has the signature of Hall of Famer Rabbit Maranville and an unidentified player. The north panel has the signatures of Estel Crabtree, Tony Kaufmann, Bob Klinger, Lou Scoffic, George Murray and an unidentified player. The south panel has the signatures of Sam Byrd, Ray Harrell and Bus Mills, along with three unidentified players. The opposite sweet spot panel that has “Special League” stamped has the signatures of Jimmy Brown and an unidentified player. This ball displays heavy toning and the signatures are light but still readable and the stampings are clear. This multi-signed baseball comes with a LOA from JSA (B72425).
