Alex Rodriguez continued his march towards 700 home runs when he used this Louisville Slugger C271L model bat during the June 8th, 2011 game against the Boston Red Sox to hit his 624th career home run. AROD’s 11th home run of the 2011 season came off of Red Sox pitcher Tim Wakefield in the bottom of the fourth inning and his solo shot got the Yankees on the scoreboard, but the Red Sox won the game 11-6 at Yankee Stadium.
This offered bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions, white leather scuffs and cleat imprints present on the barrel. There is a moderate coating of pine tar on the upper handle and the bat’s manufacture date “3/21/2011” and length/weight “34.0/32.0” has been stamped on the knob. AROD has signed his name in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “game used 6-8-11 Career Homerun #624”. This bat comes with a signed LOA from Alex Rodriguez authenticating the bat’s use and his signature, plus an MLB Authenticated hologram (FJ493421), which authenticates that Rodriguez used this bat during the June 8th, 2011 game.
