This lot is made up of two autographed Mitchell and Ness 1969 New York Mets style jerseys. The size 48 road gray #30 jersey has been signed boldly in blue on the front right side by Nolan Ryan. The size 52 home pinstripe #41 jersey has been signed on the back number “4” in silver by Tom Seaver. Hall of Famers Ryan and Seaver each won their only World Championships as members of the 1969 “Miracle Mets”. Seaver would end up finishing his career with 311 wins, 3,640 strikeouts, 3 Cy Young awards and enter the Hall of Fame with the highest percentage of votes cast in the history of Hall of Fame voting (98.84 % of ballots sent out that year came back with Seaver’s name on it). Ryan would finish his career as the all time record holder for single season and career strikeouts (383 and 5,714 respectively) as well as for No-Hitters (a whopping 7 total – to go along with 12 1-Hitters). Ryan is second only to Seaver as far as Hall of Fame voter percentages, receiving 98.79% when he was elected in 1999. The Seaver jersey has a UDA sticker affixed to the # 4 and the Ryan jersey has a Nolan Ryan signature authentication hologram affixed to the M&N manufacturer's tail tag. Both jerseys have been pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
