20 members of the 1988 USA Olympic Baseball team have signed each one of these (2) numbered lithos. Similar to the 1984 Olympics, baseball was again an “Exhibition Sport” in 1988 with medals being awarded but not counted towards the nations’ final medal tally. Unlike in 1984, Team USA brought home the gold in 1988 with a roster filled with young talent that would soon be making an impact on the Major League level. Tino Martinez, Robin Ventura, Jim Abbott, Andy Benes, Ben McDonald, Charles Nagy, Ed Sprague, Mickey Morandini, Ted Wood, Joe Slusarski, Bret Barberie, Tom Goodwin, Jeff Branson, Scott Servais, Dave Silvestri, Ty Griffin all went on to play on major league rosters. Of the 20 players that were part of this lithograph project, only Doug Robbins, Mike Fiore, Mike Milchen, Billy Masse never made it to the majors. Players signed in red and blue ink. Both lithos have been pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
