Jesse Owens was the dominant athlete at the 1936 Olympics bringing home 4 Gold Medals. He would also have brought home one of these medals, a 1936 Olympic participation medal. This cast bronze, 70mm, medal was designed by Otto Placzek. The obverse depicts five athletes pulling the ropes of the Olympic Bell. The reverse has the Olympic Bell embossed with the German Eagle holding Olympic rings, within five concentric circles.
