This black ‘Be Real’ cut off towel style sweatshirt was made for Mike Tyson to wear in the ring prior to his fight with Lou Saverese in Glasgow, Scotland on June 24, 2000. The fact that the shirt was to be worn in the ring that evening is verified by a letter that accompanies the sweatshirt from a former Tyson promoter. This sweatshirt was obtained from a box of items labeled ‘from Lou Saverese bout Training Camp and Fight.’ However, due to the cold weather that evening, Tyson did not actually wear this cut off sweatshirt in the ring. Originally sourced from a member of ‘Team Tyson.’ While we have whited out the name of the promoter to the online version of the letter, the actual letter the winning bidder will receive will not have the name whited out.
