After a heartbreaking seven-game ALCS defeat to the hated New York Yankees in 2003, the Boston Red Sox looked for another ace pitcher to put them over the top. With Pedro Martinez already in tow, the Red Sox acquired Curt Schilling from the Arizona Diamondbacks to help close the gap with the Yankees. Schilling paid immediate dividends as he helped lead Boston to their first World Series title in 86 years, including a dramatic come-from-behind series win against the Yankees in the ALCS.

Schilling wore this Wilson A2000 fielder’s glove during that historic 2004 season. This glove is all-black and displays light game use. The Wilson “W” circle logos are applied to the back of the thumb and back of the webbing in yellow. A black patch with “Wilson” in yellow is applied to the back of the wrist strap. “CURT SCHILLING” is embroidered in red stitching along the outer thumb. Schilling has signed this glove in silver marker on the outer webbing and inscribed “GAME USED ‘04” on the outer middle finger. This glove comes with a LOA from MEARS (316124) for the game use and an MLB Authenticated hologram (MT00609599) and Steiner Sports hologram for the signature.
