The year 1969 was a turning point in Washington sports history. The Senators named Ted Williams as manager. The Washington Redskins hired Vince Lombardi as Head Coach and he had brought a winning attitude to the nation's capital. The hiring of Ted Williams and his unmatched approach to hitting helped improve the Senators offense tremendously and inspired the team to its one and only winning season during its 11-year stay in Washington.  For this remarkable turnaround, Williams was voted American League Manager of the Year.

This Official American League Joseph E. Cronin baseball is superb in clarity, brightness, and features an incredible 31 signatures including Hall of Famers Ted Williams and Nellie Fox who joined the coaching staff in 1968.  The baseball also features the likes of Frank Howard who hit 48 Home Runs in 1969 and Dick Bosman who posted a 2.19 era in 193 Inning Pitched in 1969.  With the Ted Williams signature sitting appropriately across the sweet spot, this unique and often hard to locate baseball carry much historical value with regards to the resurgence of one of the greatest hitters in baseball to the Major Leagues as a Manager and baseball in our Nation’s capital!  The signatures have been pre-certified by Beckett Authentication.

Circa 1969-1970 Washington Senators Team Signed Baseball With 31 Signatures with Williams and Fox (Beckett PreCert)
