The 1949 New York Yankees were the first of five consecutive World Series champions for the Bornx Bombers. Down one game with two to play, the Yankees swept the Boston Red Sox to capture the flag, then bested the cross town Brooklyn Dodgers in five games for the Series win. This 1949 Yankees team signed baseball contains 25 signatures (all grading 7-9 unless noted) consisting of Joe DiMaggio on sweet spot, Phil Rizzuto and two Larry Berra signatures! Other signatures are Charlie Silvera, Clarence Marshall, Jack Phillips, George Stirnweiss , Hank Bauer, Frank Hiller, Jerry Coleman, John Lindell, Bobby Brown, Charlie Keller, Gus Niarhos, Bill Johnson, Cliff Mapes, Ed Lopat , Fred Sanford, Joe Page, Tommy Byrne, Jim Delsing, Allie Reynolds, Vic Raschi and Tom Henrich.
