The Michigan Wolverines won their first 11 games of the 1997 season, including convincing victories over No. 2 Penn State, No. 4 Ohio State and No. 8 Colorado. A 21-16 win against Washington State in the Rose Bowl completed a perfect 12-0 season, as Michigan finished 1st in the final AP poll. QB Brian Griese threw for 2,042 yards and 14 touchdowns, as his backup Tom Brady finished the season 12-for-15 for 103 yards. Charles Woodson did it all – seven interceptions on defense, a 21.0-yard average per reception on offense, and a punt return TD for good measure – in winning the Heisman Trophy.
Offered here is a Herff Jones 10K gold 1997 Michigan Wolverines NCAA football national championship ring, featuring a blue letter “M” on the face surrounded by CZs. “1997 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS” is displayed around the perimeter in relief work along with additional CZs, one of which is missing.
