This offered piece of baseball history is from Derek Jeter, one of the grittiest players ever to don the Yankee pinstripes. This game used Derek Jeter batting helmet from the 1998 season where Jeter led the American League in runs with 127 and finished the season with 203 hits and a loft .324 batting average. Jeter led the Yankees to a franchise record 114 wins and a second World Series title in three seasons.
This American Batting Company (ABC) helmet features the interlocking “NY” logo and the Jeter’s number “2” on the bill. Jeter’s number “2” is also affixed on the back center, next to the ABC logo. This helmet is a size 7 ¼ as indicated on the inside. A “Warning” label and Diamond Collection sticker adhered to the inside. There is interior foam padding on the left ear flap, front, sides, back and top of head and the top has four airholes. This helmet displays excellent game use with numerous scratches and abrasions and comes with a LOA from JT Sports for the game use.
