America’s favorite football player turned morning talk-show host, who would have thought the 15-year NFL veteran with the gap-toothed smile would make such a seamless segue from the gridiron to Regis Philbin’s old chair next to Kelly Ripa. Strahan wore this size-48 New York Giants white-mesh road jersey during the 2001 season when he set an NFL record with 22.5 quarter back sacks. Strahan’s number 92 is attached in big red digits on the front and back with his name sewn into a white name plate in blue letters. His number 92 also appears on both sleeves with Reebok logos embroidered below. The year and shirt size “01-48” appear on tag sewn into the inside back of the jersey below the collar. A small NFL logo patch with red background flap is sewn into the apex of the front of the blue-trim, V-neck collar with “Giants” name embroidered in blue below. A Reebok New York Giants helmet and NFL logo manufacturer’s tag with 4” L.B. and 48 attached is on the left front tail. Jersey contains some wear and one small stain in the right armpit; comes with Mears Memorabilia Letter of Opinion Grade A5 and Grey Flannel Auctions full LOA.
