The 1965 season capped off a six-year run of the Los Angeles Dodgers where they won three World Series titles following their historic move from Brooklyn to start the 1958 season. The Dodgers would win World Series titles in 1959, 1963 and in 1965 and the 1965 squad was the last title for legendary manager Walter Alston, who was the only manager to win a World Series with the Dodgers for both Brooklyn and Los Angeles. The Dodgers wouldn’t win the World Series again until 1981.

Offered here is an Official National League Warren Giles stamped baseball bearing the names of 28 members of the 1965 World Series Champions. Hall of Famers Walter Alston and Don Drysdale have signed their names on the sweet spot in blue pen. The west panel has the signatures of Howie Reed, Hector Valle, Jeff Torborg, Al Ferrara, Dick Tracewski, Wes Parker and Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax. The east panel with the SPALDING stamp has the signatures of an unidentified player, Jim Brewer, Johnny Podres, Mike Kekich and Bob Miller.

The north panel has Ron Fairly, Willie Crawford, Wally Moon, Jim Lefebvre, Maury Wills, Lefty Phillips, Danny Ozark and Jim Gilliam. Handwritten around the laces on the SPALDING panel in bold black ink is “LOS ANGELES DODGERS WORLD’S CHAMPIONS 1965”. Also included with this baseball is a small cardboard cube that has a mailing label from Connie Mack Stadium in Philadelphia and a postmark of June 11th, 1965. This ball comes with LOA from PSA/DNA (Q04569).
