Ty Cobb spent 22 seasons with the Detroit Tigers, the last six as the team's player-manager, and finished his career with the Philadelphia Athletics. He set the record for most career hits (4,191) that stood for more than 50 years. He was still the holder of that record when he signed the side panel of this Wilson League Ball in black fountain pen. The ball shows toning from age with some scuffing to the surface, but the Cobb signature displays nicely as a single-signed panel. This ball comes with a LOA from JSA (BB34254) for the signature. Please note that JSA has determined that the end of Cobb’s signature is “lightly enhanced” and that there is “paint or white out potentially obscuring other signatures”.
