Chipper Jones was the driving force behind a powerful Atlanta offense in 1996, hitting for a .309 batting average with 30 longballs and a team-high 110 RBI. The Braves reached the World Series for the second consecutive year, where they faced the New York Yankees. The Braves fought the Yankees tooth and nail but were ultimately unable to defend their World Series title in a thrilling six game Fall Classic. Jones finished the series with a .286 batting average, as well as three RBI and three runs scored. The 1996 Rawlings M520 model bat shows good use with ball marks visible on the barrel. There are ink transfers and many bat rack paint streaks of various color. The handle has a moderate coat of pine tar and Chipper’s number “10” has been handwritten in black marker on both ends. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18031) for the game use.
