After a sterling rookie season with the New York Mets, slugger Ike Davis 2011 campaign was cut short due to an ankle injury. Davis hit .302 with seven home runs in a 36-game span in 2011. This 33 7/8-inch, 31.1-ounce ash Louisville Slugger (C243) was presumed to be used by Davis during that season. The bat shows heavy use and has a large crack on the handle. Several ball marks are evident on the barrel as is green paint markings likely from the bat rack. Davis’ No. 29 appears in orange on a blue background on the knob of the bat. Bat comes with an LOA from PSA/DNA. Multiple images and LOA available at goldinauctions.com.
