Born Arthur Antunes Coimbra, the legendary playmaker Zico starred for Flamengo and the Brazil national soccer team during the 1970’s and 1980’s. A creative passer who was deadly in front of goal, Zico led Flamengo through their most prosperous time as a club, culminating in a victory in the 1981 Copa Libertadores against Cobreloa of Chile. Zico won seven Campeonato Carioca titles with Flamengo, including both titles in 1979, and played in three World Cups with Brazil. The Rio de Janeiro native made 71 appearances for the national team, scoring 48 times and establishing himself as a Brazilian legend.
This offered Flamengo jersey dates to the 1979-81 period of Zico’s career. The jersey is red and black striped mesh, with the Flamengo and Adidas logos applied to the chest in white. The three stars next to the Flamengo logo began appearing on the rubo-negro shirts in 1980 to commemorate Flamengo’s three state-league tri-championships, the most recent of which they won in 1979. Zico’s number “10” is applied to the back of the shirt in white and an Adidas size “L” tag is sewn on the back inside collar. This jersey comes with a LOA from 100% Authentic.
