Offered is a cream colored, black and red stitched “LEAGUE SPECIAL” baseball signed on a side panel by the great Bambino. He signed tons of items over his career, with a large portion of those items addressed and presented to children. You could imagine the nervousness this child felt when he approached Ruth asking for a signature, and you could imagine the relief he felt when the Babe smiled and said, “Sure kid, what’s yer name?” Then Ruth penned “To Jerry From Babe Ruth” and handed the ball back to the wide grinning child. The signature and inscription have some areas of lightness, and very minor affects from several ball scrapes. A great item signed by Ruth. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number J86425.
