Jim Rice used this Louisville Slugger R212 model bat during the 1980-83 seasons, where he hit 104 of his career 382 home runs during that four-year stretch, including an American League high 39 home runs and league leading 126 RBI in 1983. The bat shows excellent game use with a broken handle. The barrel shows several ball marks along with bat rack paint streaks and ink transfers. Rice’s number “14” is handwritten on the knob in black marker and the barrel has been signed by Rice who added “Game Used.” This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18055) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8.5 and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature.
