We do not know what went through the mind of the Cleveland GM when he made that trade with the Kansas City A’s. But they did send Maris to the A’s, who was eventually traded to the New York Yankees. This Cleveland Indians team signed baseball is form Maris’ rookie season, when he hit .235 with 14 home runs. This creamy colored OAL Harridge ball has 32 blue ink signatures, grading (“8-10”) in strength. Includes: Kirby Farrell (mgr.) and Mike Garcia on sweet spot, Roger Maris, Gene Woodling, Mel Harder, Chico Carrasquel, Bob Avila, Jim Busby, Dick Tomanek, Ray Narleski, Larry Raines, Russ Nixon, Jim Hegan, Don Mossi, Bob Lemon, Bob Usher, Herb Score, Eddie Stanky, Hal Naragon, Bill Harrell, Kenny Kuhn, Al Smith, Bud Daley, Preston Ward, Rocky Colavito, Art Houtteman, Bob Strickland, Stan Pitula, Early Wynn, Joe Altobelli, Red Kress and Cal McLish on President stamp. Also written in blue ink is “CLEVELAND 1957” and “5TH PLACE.” The ball is high quality and the signatures are very bold, with several HOFers and the key of a rookie season Roger Maris. A spectacular example of a high quality signed team baseball! Full LOA from James Spence Authentication, cert number X32458.
