Presented is a lot of 16 baseballs single-signed by members of the 1977 and 1978 New York Yankees. The 1977 and 1978 Yankees both won the World Series, thanks in part to Reggie Jackson, Sparky Lyle, Goose Gossage, Graig Nettles and other notable players in the “Bronx Zoo” era of the legendary franchise. 

The first item in this lot is a Willie Randolph signature on the sweet spot of an Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball. The former Yankees second baseman has signed his name in blue pen. The second item in this lot is a Cliff Johnson signature and inscription on the sweet spot of an OML/Selig baseball. The former Yankees first baseman and designated hitter has signed his name in blue pen and inscribed below his signature “WSC 77-78”. The third item in this lot is a Fred Stanley signature and inscription on the sweet spot of an OML/Selig baseball. The former Yankees infielder has signed his name in blue pen, and inscribed “W.S.C. 1977-78” below his signature on the Yankees 100th Anniversary baseball. The fourth item in this lot is a Dick Tidrow signature on the sweet spot of an Official National League William D. White baseball in blue pen.

The fifth item in this lot is a Lou Piniella signature in blue pen on the sweet spot of an Official American League Bobby Brown baseball. This item comes with a STICKER ONLY from PSA/DNA (I48624). The sixth item in this lot is a Sparky Lyle signature in blue pen on the sweet spot of an OAL/Brown baseball. The seventh item in this lot is a Mickey Rivers signature and inscription in blue pen on the sweet spot of an OML/Selig baseball. The former centerfielder has signed his name and inscribed “#17” alongside his signature, and inscribed “77 + 78 W.S. Champs” below his signature.  The eighth item in this lot is a Jim Catfish Hunter signature on the sweet spot of an OAL/Brown baseball. The Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher has signed his name in blue pen. This item comes with a STICKER ONLY from JSA (B79584).

The ninth item in this lot is a Ron Guidry signature and inscription on the sweet spot of an OAL/Budig baseball. Guidry has signed his name in black pen and inscribed “#49” below his signature on the Joe DiMaggio commemorative baseball. The 10th item in this lot is a Graig Nettles signature and inscription on the sweet spot of an OAL/Budig baseball. The former Yankees third baseman has signed his name in blue pen and inscribed “9” alongside his signature. The 11th item in this lot is an Ed Figueroa signature and inscription on an OML/Selig baseball. The former Yankees pitcher has signed his name on the sweet spot in blue pen, and inscribed “78 WSC 20-9 2.99 ERA” below the sweet spot.

The 12th item in this lot is a Reggie Jackson signature on an OML/Selig baseball. The former Yankees slugger and Baseball Hall of Famer has signed his name in blue pen on the sweet spot. The 13th item in this lot is a Goose Gossage signature and inscription on an Official American League Gene A. Budig baseball. The former Yankees relief pitcher and Baseball Hall of Famer has signed his name in black pen and inscribed “54” below his signature on the Joe DiMaggio commemorative baseball. The 14th item in this lot is a Chris Chambliss signature on an OAL/Brown baseball. The former Yankees first baseman has signed his name on the sweet spot in blue pen. The 15th item in this lot is a Roy White signature and inscription on an OML/Selig baseball. The former Yankees outfielder has signed his name on the sweet spot in blue pen and inscribed “77-78 WS Champs” below his signature. The 16th item in this lot is a Bucky Dent signature on an Official 1978 World Series baseball. The former Yankees shortstop has signed his name in blue pen on the sweet spot. This entire lot has been pre-certified by Beckett Authentication.
