On June 12, 2010 the Pirates donned 1935 Pittsburgh Crawfords uniforms to honor the Negro Leagues. All-Star center fielder Andrew McCutchen went 1 for 5 in the 4-3 extra-innings loss to the Tigers. The gray pinstriped jersey has “Crawfords” across the front in red tackle twill script. Red piping trims the collar and front of the jersey. AIS size 44 tagging is sewn on the right front tail and MLB hologram sticker number FJ 033194 is affixed. McCutchen’s number “22” appears on the back in red tackle twill. Also included is a red Crawfords cap with a white “C” embroidered on the front. Cap is made by “California Custom Caps and is a size 8. MLB hologram sticker number FJ 033221 is affixed beneath the brim and McCutchen’s number “22” is hand written in black marker. The jersey and cap show light evidence of game use and the cap with a few loose threads and only very light staining. A great looking jersey and cap honoring the hundreds of players who were unfairly barred from the majors due to the color of their skin.
