Opening on July 1, 1910 – at a cost of $750,000 – Comiskey Park was home of Major League Baseball’s Chicago White Sox. Seating capacity was 32,000 with that number expanding to as high as 52,000. Comiskey Park saw the infamous “Disco Demolition Night” in 1979, between games of a doubleheader, which resulted in a huge hole in centerfield and the forfeit of the second game. Closing on September 30, 1990, Comiskey was demolished in January of 1991. Presented here is a Kelly green colored circa 1910 Comiskey Park wooden stadium seat with metal frame. This seat – which shows much wear – is marked with the number “4” and does not include a base. Dimensions are approximately 32 inches tall x 22 inches wide.
