Offered is a Derek Jeter signature and inscription on a vintage Official American League Gene A. Budig baseball. The former New York Yankees All-Star shortstop has signed his name in black pen on the sweet spot, and inscribed “ROY” below his signature. The ball is inscribed “830/1996” in black pen to the right of Jeter’s signature and inscription. Below the OAL Budig stamp is another stamp, in blue, “Derek Jeter 1996 American League Rookie of the Year”. Budig was President of the American League from 1994 to 1999. Jeter was the American League Rookie of the Year in 1996 and helped push the Yankees to the 1996 World Series Championship.
