Over a brief period in the late 1870s and early 1880s, Boston’s Forbes Co. published images of cartoonish ballplayers usually depicted in compromising, and unflattering, situations. These cards are well known as “Forbes – Injury.” This a lot of five of six cards in the set, all which have been SGC graded. Includes: SGC 20 FAIR 1.5 – 1 card, “Assisted to His Base”; SGC AUTH – four cards w/”Victory,” “Short Stop,” “A Fumble at 2nd” and “A Foul Bound.” The only card needed to complete the set is “Home Run.” All cards SGC Graded.
