Aaron Judge, who played college baseball at California State University, Fresno, was selected by the New York Yankees in the first round of the 2013 MLB draft. After making his Major League baseball debut in 2016 and hitting a home run in his first career at bat, Judge went on to have a record-breaking rookie season in 2017. He was named an All-Star and won the Home Run Derby, becoming the first rookie to do so. Judge ended the season with 52 home runs, breaking Mark McGwire's MLB rookie record of 49 and the Yankees' full-season rookie record of 29 (previously held by Joe DiMaggio). Judge was unanimously selected as the American League Rookie of the Year in 2017 and finished second for AL Most Valuable Player.

Offered is a limited edition (3/50) one-ounce gold coin commemorating Judge’s rookie record 52 home runs in 2017, from Baseball Treasure. One side of the .999 fine gold coin features an engraving of Judge pointing skyward as he trots to first base, with the Yankees iconic interlocking “NY” logo at the right. The coin is engraved “Aaron Judge Rookie Record 52 HRS 2017 United States of America.” The reverse side is engraved with a Judge head and shoulder profile image, featuring Judge wearing sunglasses, and the legend “Aaron Judge Right Field New York Yankees.” To the left of Judge is engraved the logo “2018 Treasures.” This item has been encapsulated and comes with a LOA from Baseball Treasure.
