The "19th Annual Dapper Dan Charity Banquet" was held on Monday, February 6th, 1978 at the Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. The Dapper Dan "Man of the Year" award began in 1960, and in 1978, Thurman Munson was the recepient of the aforementioned award.
