Offered is a lot of two 1937 Major League Baseball All-Stars signed photographs with 11 total signatures, including Baseball Hall of Famers Joe Cronin, Joe DiMaggio, Hank Greenberg, Lefty Gomez, Jimmie Foxx and Charlie Gehringer. The fifth playing of the midsummer classic was held on July 7, 1937, at Griffith Stadium in Washington, D.C., the home of the Washington Senators of the American League. The American League defeated the National League 8–3.

The first item in this lot is a multi-signed black and white 8 x 10-inch photograph of seven Major League Baseball players from the 1937 MLB All-Star Game. Depicted are (left to right) Lou Gehrig, Joe Cronin, Bill Dickey, Joe DiMaggio, Charlie Gehringer, Jimmie Fox and Hank Greenburg in their respective American League team uniforms. Cronin has signed his name in blue marker down his right leg, as have Dickey and DiMaggio. Gehringer has signed his name in black marker down his right leg, while Greenberg has signed his name in blue marker down his left leg. The publicity photo has a caption at the bottom; there are two white spaces in the caption where the paper has been worn away or torn. This item comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication (F06703) and has graded the signatures a GEM MINT 10.

The second item in this lot is a multi-signed black and white 8 x 10-inch photo print of a newspaper photo captioned “Seven future Hall of Famers represented the American League in 1937 All-Star Game at Washington. Left to right: Lou Gehrig, Joe Cronin, Bill Dickey, Joe DiMaggio, Charlie Gehringer, Jimmie Foxx and Hank Greenberg.” The name Lefty Gomez has been inscribed in the caption in black pen, and a color photo of his Hall of Fame plaque has been pasted in the upper right corner. Cronin has signed his name in blue pen on his right leg, while Dickey and DiMaggio have signed their names in blue marker down the center of their respective images. Gehringer and Greenberg have signed their names in black marker down the center of their respective images. Gomez has signed his name in blue marker below the color image of his Hall of Fame plaque.
