After a pitcher faced Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, he still had to bear down because Bob Meusel was coming up next. Though he was out-shined by Ruth and Gehrig, during the 1920’s Bob Meusel was ranked right up with the best outfielders in the American League. In 1925, one of the seasons this bat dates to, Meusel beat out his more famous teammates for the American League home run and RBI titles. Meusel’s 1920-1929 era Spalding Pro Model bat shows good game use and appears to be un-cracked. The barrel shows ball marks and scuffs along with cleat impressions. The barrel has been stamped with “B. MEUSEL” and the knob has the Spalding logo stamp. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (H53077) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8.
