Jerry Rice played 20 seasons in the NFL (1985-2004) and Joe Montana played 15 (1979-1994, excluding 1991). Their careers overlapped for just 10 years, during only eight of which they played for the same team. Furthermore, during four of those eight years, either Rice or Montana made fewer than nine starts. That leaves just four years in which the two played nine or more games together—25 percent of Montana's career and 20 percent of Rice's. Yet the two combined as one of the most famous, and accomplished, duos of receiver and quarterback ever seen in the National Football League. Presented is a Montana and Rice dual-signed and inscribed replica San Francisco 49ers helmet. Montana has signed his name in black marker across the top right side of the helmet, and inscribed “SB XVI XIX XXIV MVP HOF 2000” below his signature. Rice has signed his name on the right front over the facemask in black marker and inscribed “SB XXIII MVP 2010 MVP” below his signature. The gold plastic Riddell helmet has two red and one white stripe down the center, a gray facemask, and a pair of “SF” logo decals in red, black and white. This item comes with a HOLOGRAM ONLY from Rice, a HOLOGRAM ONLY from Montana, and a STICKER ONLY from PSA/DNA (S39498).
