New England Patriots Pro Bowl left tackle Bruce Armstrong wore this blue Patriots home jersey during the AFC Championship Game on January 12th, 1997 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Armstrong helped pave the way for Curtis Martin’s touchdown run in the first quarter to set the stage for New England’s dominant 20-6 win over the anemic Jaguars. This was the second AFC title for the Patriots, and their first since 1985. Armstrong made six Pro Bowls and played his entire career for New England after being drafted with the 23rd overall pick in the 1987 NFL Draft.
This offered Patriots home jersey is blue, with Patriot logos applied to both shoulders. Armstrong’s number “78” is sewn on the chest, back, and shoulders in white and red tackle twill, while “ARMSTRONG” is sewn across the back in white tackle twill over a matching blue nameplate. Starter logos are sewn on both sleeves, while a NFL logo is sewn on the collar and a Patriots wordmark is sewn on the chest. A Starter Pro Line tag is sewn on the front left tail. Numerous team repairs are present on the sleeves and chest. This jersey comes with a Patriots Pro Shop COA and has been photo matched to the AFC Championship Game by RGU, who have provided a LOA.
