In 2016, Boston’s beloved DH David Ortiz wrapped up his Hall of Fame bound career in style by surpassing several baseball icons on the career home run list. Each month he surpassed another legend: in July he topped Ted Williams’ mark of 522 career home runs and in August, he passed Jimmie Foxx. After passing Mickey Mantle, Ortiz wore this road gray Boston Red Sox jersey during the September 22nd game against the Orioles in Baltimore. This Majestic size 50 FlexBase jersey has the traditional “BOSTON” in Tuscan font sewn on across the button-down front in red and navy tackle twill.
