Uruguayan soccer legend Anibal Paz was presented with this medal by Club Nacional in 1991 honoring his 50 years as a socio, or member, of the club. Paz won nine Uruguayan Primera Division titles with Nacional during the 1930’s, 1940’s, and 1950’s as their starting goalkeeper, making nearly 500 appearances with the Montevidean club. Paz also played on the Uruguayan national team in 1950 that defeated Brazil 2-1 in the FIFA World Cup Final. This offered medal is gold in color, with an enamel Club Nacional logo applied to the front. This item comes with a LOA confirming it is part of the Rony Almeida Soccer Collection.
