Former outfielder Vada Pinson had a solid 18-year career, mostly spent with the Cincinnati Reds. Pinson finished his career with a solid .286 batting average and hit 186 home runs. Pinson wore this Cincinnati Reds road flannel vest jersey during the 1966s season in which hit 16 home runs, drove in 76 and batted .286. The front of this MacGregor button-down flannel jersey features “CINCINNATI” and “28”, both sewn on in red and black tackle twill. The open sleeve ends have a black felt lining and the green MacGregor size 40 tag is sewn on the inside back collar. The back of this jersey has “28” sewn on in red and black tackle twill with “PINSON” sewn on below the number in black tackle twill. The experts at Sports Investors Authentication have noted in the LOA that accompanies this jersey that the player name and numbers have been replaced and that under a light table that the shadows of the original name and number are still apparent and that this was Pinson’s jersey. This jersey is in overall good condition with two small repairs on the back where the original numbers were removed and some discoloration on the jersey. This jersey comes with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (191213F8).
